Why men and women need each other to heal

Do you feel comfortable (or safe) doing deep healing work with someone of the opposite sex?

Personally, I’ve seen how powerful it is to hold space for men as I guide them through their healing journey.

Men need femininity to become more vulnerable, so they can surrender into the softness, and expand their circle of compassion and support.

When men are around the feminine divine and feel the softness, sweetness, and vulnerability, it gives them permission to get vulnerable, too.

Feminine divine embodied is motherly love (when it's healed).

Women need the confidence masculinity brings to declare their worth, embrace their desires, and feel deserving of being heard. But they also need the feminine to have more self-compassion towards themselves as they can be their worst enemy.

Women need masculine healed energy to heal wounds inflicted by wounded masculinity. Masculine energy, at its core when it’s healed, is grounding and protective.

Women benefit from masculine energy to go after what they want. But problems arise when the masculine takes over the feminine and you lose yourself to what society believes the gender roles should be and how success should look for women (the patriarchy in action).

When the feminine divine energy meets healed and transformed masculinity, it is a deep journey of healing for both.

Imagine the father of the woman was abusive and the mother of the man was absent.

Both the woman and the man bring their pain and patterns into the relationship, creating a toxic atmosphere of unhealed trauma.

The woman needs acceptance and the man needs presence. If she runs away emotionally to protect herself from fear of being hurt, and he feels abandoned by her leaving, their traumas will continue playing out in a vicious cycle.

Yet, if they each put in the work to heal their traumas and recognize these patterns, they can help each other heal.

When both sexes come together in a healthy way, it can heal the wounds of the feminine and masculine inflicted on them.
